Ready Up has a zero tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE). This page is our published standard, our reporting path, and the enforcement steps we take. It applies to every account, on every platform where Ready Up is available.
1. What is strictly prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind, real, drawn, edited or AI generated.
- Sexualising a minor in text, images, video, voice notes, stickers, status posts or profile media.
- Grooming, sextortion, soliciting nude or sexual content from a minor, or arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
- Trafficking, advertising, selling, trading or requesting CSAM, including links to it or hints on where to find it.
- Sharing intimate images of anyone, adult or minor, without their consent.
- Threats, harassment, stalking, hate speech, terrorism, or promotion of violence.
- Impersonating another person, or using Ready Up to defraud or scam.
Accounts found engaged in any of the above are terminated permanently, and where the law requires it we report to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ready Up, and older where your country sets a higher age of digital consent. Accounts we believe belong to someone under the minimum age are removed.
3. How to report
- In app: open a chat, tap the contact or group name, then Report. Reporting also lets you block the account in the same step.
- By email: safety@readyupmessenger.com for abuse and child safety reports, legal@readyupmessenger.com for legal process and preservation requests.
- Include the phone number or display name involved, the approximate date and time, and what you saw. Screenshots help.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
We aim to review every child safety report within 24 hours, and other abuse reports within 72 hours. Reports are handled by a human, not only by automated systems.
4. What encryption means for moderation
Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted, so Ready Up cannot read or scan conversations. That is deliberate, and it does not make the service unmoderated. When you submit a report, the content you choose to include in that report is sent to us by you, and we act on it. We can also act on the account level data we do hold: registration number, report history, and enforcement history.
5. Tools in your hands
- Block any account, which stops messages, calls and status from that number.
- Report a person or a group, with the option to block at the same time.
- Leave, mute or delete a group chat at any time.
- Media never downloads automatically from a blocked account.
- Only your saved contacts can see your status posts and last seen, and both can be turned off in Privacy settings.
6. Enforcement
- Child safety violations: immediate permanent ban, no warning, plus a report to authorities where required by law.
- Other serious violations: warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity and history.
- Ban evasion using a new number is itself a violation.
- Appeals can be sent to safety@readyupmessenger.com and are reviewed by someone who did not make the original decision.
7. Law enforcement and legal requests
Valid legal requests should be sent to legal@readyupmessenger.com. We disclose only the limited account data we actually hold, and we cannot produce message or call content because we do not have the keys to it. We do not build back doors and we will not weaken encryption for any party.
8. Contact
Child safety and abuse: safety@readyupmessenger.com. Legal notices and preservation requests: legal@readyupmessenger.com. We review and update this standard at least once a year.
